DUSK experts have come together to give you our top tips on how to wash and dry your throws and blankets.
Are you wondering how your should wash your cushions and how to keep them plump for longer? Our DUSK experts have collected all their tips on cleaning your cushions and throws.
While there are specialised cleaning agents that can be used to clean cushions, we always recommend checking the care label before applying any products. If you are able to use a cleaning product, then use a small amount of cleanign agent and carefully remove any stains before following the label's washing instructions.
For a classic and timeless look, always keep your cushions straight - this creates crisp, sleek lines that look lovely and neat. Alternatively, if you prefer a more laid-back "lived in" apperance, scatter your cushions at a jaunty angle to make them appear a little less uniform.
Throws can lose their quality over time when exposed to normal everyday elements, storing them away in a storage box will prevent colours from fading in sunlight over time, as well as minimise any fabric bobbling from general wear and tear.
To keep your throws looking and feeling their best, be sure to air-dry only after washing. Tumble-drying can cause certain fibres to shrink when exposed to heat, which in some cases, can alter the shape and size of your throw. Instead, we recommend that you allow them to air dry either on a washing line, on a radiator or by a windowsill, to keep them in prime condition.
