Will it fit?
Make sure of the fit, before you commit.
Before placing your order, take a moment to check the measurements of your new item and the route it’ll need to take. Doorways, hallways, stairs and landings can all play a part in a smooth delivery. A quick measure now saves a moving-day muddle later.
Quick Measurement Checklist

1. DETERMINE THE DELIVERY JOURNEY
First things first, can your delivery make it to your front door safely? Think about whether the journey from our van to your home is clear and without obstacles. For any entryways or tricky corners, make sure to measure them against your item.
Need product measurements? You’ll find key info on each product page, under ‘Details & Dimensions’.
Before Measuring:
- Use a metal tape measure for accuracy
- Have someone help with long measurements
- Measure twice to confirm dimensions
Safety Considerations:
- Plan your route before delivery day
- Remove obstacles along the path
- Always measure the narrowest point of each space and add 5-10cm clearance for safe manoeuvring.

2. MEASURE your doorways
Grab a tape measure and check your door frames against your item’s dimensions. Just a few minutes now saves a lot of faff later. Remember to measure the narrowest point and account for door handles and hinges.
- Measure the clear opening width and height, not the door size
- Don't include door trim or molding
- Measure at the narrowest point
- Account for door handles and hinges

3. MEASURE THE HALLWAY
Tight turns? Console tables? Shoe racks that love to get in the way? Clear the space in your hallway and check your measurements so your furniture can get in smoothly.
- Measure the narrowest width point
- Check for protruding light fixtures
- Note any turns or corners

4. STAIRWELL & LANDING CONSIDERATIONS
Save yourself the “PIVOT!” moment. Check that your stairs and landing give enough space to move larger items safely to their final spot. Think through the smoothest route before delivery day, it’ll make everything easier for you and our team.
- Measure width at the narrowest point
- Calculate turning radius at corners
- Consider ceiling height clearance
- Account for handrails and banisters

5. ROOM MEASUREMENTS
Take a look at the room where your furniture will go. Check for any obstacles like open doors, radiators or other furniture, and make sure there’s enough space for both placement and assembly.
- Protect walls with blankets
- Account for existing furniture
- Remove any obstacles to help with assembly and placement
