Pouffe FAQs
DUSK shares everything you need to know about our pouffe collection.
What are pouffes?
A pouf (or pouffe, not poof) is a cushioned, pillow-like seat that's low to the ground. Pouffes are versatile and stylish pieces of furniture known for their multifunctionality and comfort.
How do I use a pouffe in my home?
They can be used as extra seating in living rooms, bedrooms, or even outdoor spaces, providing a cosy spot for relaxation.Prop your feet up on a pouffe at the end of a long day by placing it in front of your armchair or sofa. Transform your pouffe into a makeshift table. Or use it as luxuriously comfy additional seating for parties.
And, since our pouffes are in the ottoman style, they have another handy use- storage! Keep cushions and throws, books, board games, shoes, bed linens or anything else you can think of in these extraordinarily useful and gorgeous lounge accessories.
How do I care for my pouffe?
Maintain your perfect pouffe with our easy tips.
- - Clean with your vacuum curtain attachment (the one with a lint-catching fabric strip) or a lint roller to prevent dust build-up.
- - Try to keep your sofa away from direct sunlight, and not too close to heat sources, as this can cause fading over time.
- - Wipe up the spillage as quickly as possible by gently dabbing or blotting with a dry cloth. Some tougher spills, such as oil and grease, can be more persistent and leave a stain. In this case, it's best to contact a specialist cleaning service as machine washing is advised against.
- - Hand wash or professional clean only, no machine washing
- - Seat and back cushions require regular plumping and maintenance to help prevent distortion and flatting
What’s the difference between a footstool and a pouffe?
A pouffe looks and functions like a large, firm cushion for sitting or resting the feet, and often has no legs or very short legs. On the other hand, a footstool, as the name suggests, is built more like a stool with four legs, but is closer to the ground so that feet can easily be rested upon it.
