Bath Towel FAQs

How do I clean my bath towels?

For clean and fluffy towels, wash every three to five uses.

To clean your bath towels, place them in the washing machine at 30 degrees or whatever temperature the label states. Following this, tumble dry them at a low temperature or, for best results, air dry. Ensure they are fully dry before storing them away to prevent mildew.

How do I deep clean my bath towels?

If you feel that your towels need to be deep cleaned, follow these helpful steps.

  1. Mix ¼ cup Borax, ¼ cup washing soda and ½ cup laundry detergent in hot bath water.
  2. Soak your towel in this mixture for 2-5 hours, stirring occasionally.
  3. Wring out your towel.
  4. Place the towel in your washing machine on a rinse only cycle.
  5. Tumble dry your towel on a low temperature.

How do I keep my towels fluffy?

Keep your towels in fabulously fluffy condition with our advice.

Add baking soda and white vinegar to your usual wash cycle to soften hard water and break down mineral build-up. Avoid fabric softener, as this will flatten your towels rather than fluff them up.

You should also ensure your washing machine is not overloaded, giving your laundry products space to work their magic. To do this, we recommend washing your towels only with other towel products. You should also separate colours to keep white towels looking snowy and smart.

Another helpful tip is to shake your towels to fluff them up, which you can do both before washing and after drying for maximum effect. Don’t iron your towel as this will flatten the fibres.
