How do I furnish a dining room?

You want a table that fills out the room enough to not leave an awkwardly vast amount of empty space whilst still ensuring you have clear and comfortable pathways for walking.

Styling

You can then add chairs. Designs which match your dining room will create a smart and cohesive look, whilst ones that clash, such as black chairs around a white table, can be strikingly stylish. Or, instead, break with tradition and opt for dining benches instead. This creates an even more intimate dining experience, as well as space, since they can be entirely stowed beneath the table.

Arrangement

Arranging your table and chairs in the centre of the room is a traditional and timeless choice. In a large dining room, you can then fill out the edges of the space with elegant sideboards and shelves where crockery and cutlery can be kept.
