So here we are! 🤩
There are many new things I love about our new home, but our guest room has to be one of my favourites. I think having two combinations of similar dark paints helped the room become so cosy and inviting.
We were having a panic when coming over to paint in the evenings before we moved in that the paint was the same shade - but alas it was dark and wet, so we were relieved to come back the next day to see the final, correct, result!
Improvement point - I am waiting to get some more sophisticated bedding, I’d love to take a chapter out of studiomcgee ‘s book and get some darker toned cushions to match the wall colour. All in good time (& budget!)

I’ve already decorated this room and couldn’t quite rest with it. I lived the navy and white but it felt stark and not homely. I always said I wanted our room to have a luxury hotel type feel and I think I’m on the right track now!
The room still needs dressed with nic-nacks, new cushion covers etc but that takes time. Despite what insta will have you believe, if you’re average Joe then budgets fully dictate when and what.
I’m not striving for insta perfection, we live a real life with busy jobs, a kid and loads of pets! So it’s never going to be show home material!

I’ve liked everything I’ve had from Dusk although I’ve knocked off one star as there’s a slightly blemish on the headboard - not a mark but more the fabric being slightly threadbare in one spot. Easy to put together though - my partner managed it by himself and had no trouble with attaching the wings, which some reviewers said were difficult
