How do I style a throw in my living room?
When adding a throw to your living room, you have a wealth of styling options.
A classic choice is to style your throw with your sofa. Fold your throw in half and lay it over the back of your sofa for a gorgeous touch of texture. Or, instead, lay it over your sofa seats, a perfect way to add cushioning whilst protecting sofa seats from pets.
A throw can also be styled with an armchair. Fold into quarters and drape elegantly over the back of your armchair or choose to place over one arm of the chair for a stylish asymmetrical look.
Of course, if you’d rather keep your throw out of sight until it’s time to cosy up, you have a number of beautiful options there too. Fold up your throw and place it inside an ottoman pouffe or stool, or instead, roll it up tightly and place it in a stunning storage basket.
How do I wash my throw?
Keep throws fluffy and fresh with a monthly wash. Check the label or care instructions of your particular throw to discover how to wash it, as some may be machine washable whilst others are hand washed only. Our throw care guide can enlighten you further.
How do I hand wash my throw?
If your throw requires hand washing, fill a bathtub with warm water and add a mild detergent. Soak your throw in this mixture for 30 minutes before wringing out and rinsing in clean water. Hang to dry fully.
